English as a Second Language
Over 600 students (including seniors) attend JIAS Toronto's LINC and ESL classes throughout the year. Not only are these classes a great way to update language skills, but they’re also a tremendous opportunity for newcomers to connect with one another. We offer full-time, part-time, and evening classes. In addition to formal English classes, through our Conversation Cafe program, we provide an informal opportunity for newcomers to practice their conversational skills with English speaking volunteers. Currently, this program is running in 2 locations:
- Tuesday mornings 10:30 am at The Family Resource Centre (Promenade Mall, Thornhill)
- Wednesday evenings 6:00 pm at Antibes Community Centre (off of Bathurst, between Finch & Steeles)
